Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Project Ownership: Lead the ideation, planning, development, and delivery of technical projects from scratch, taking full ownership of the lifecycle.
  • SaaS Product Development: Design and build user-centric SaaS platforms with a focus on performance, scalability, and a seamless user experience.
  • System Optimization: Continuously improve existing systems for better architecture, performance, and scalability.
  • Clean & Modular Code: Write clean, maintainable, and modular code following best practices and modern design patterns.
  • Infrastructure Management: Deploy and maintain robust infrastructure ensuring high availability and zero downtime.
  • Architectural Leadership: Own and drive architectural decisions for large-scale distributed systems.
  • Mentorship & Guidance: Mentor junior engineers (SDE I/II), conduct code reviews, and foster a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence.
  • Best Practices Enforcement: Define and uphold engineering standards, coding guidelines, and design principles across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with Product, Operations, Data, and DevOps teams to align engineering initiatives with business objectives.

Basic Qualifications


  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (preferably from Tier 1 institutions) or equivalent professional experience.
  • Communication: Excellent strategic communication and presentation skills.
  • Problem-Solving: Strong analytical skills with a first-principles approach to solving real-world problems.
  • Technical Proficiency:
  • Expertise in backend frameworks such as Java (Spring Boot), Python (Django), and Golang.
  • Experience with Generative AI tools and familiarity with AI-assisted coding workflows.
  • Solid understanding of software architecture including Microservices, CQRS, and Domain-Driven Design.
  • Hands-on experience with asynchronous programming and concurrent systems.
  • Skilled in designing relational (PostgreSQL) and non-relational (NoSQL) databases.
  • Familiarity with caching systems like Redis and Hazelcast.
  • Working knowledge of Pub/Sub messaging systems such as Kafka, RabbitMQ, or AWS SQS.
  • Cloud & DevOps:
  • Experience with AWS services (EC2, ECS, API Gateway, Cognito, etc.).
  • Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Docker, and Kubernetes for containerization and deployment.
  • Exposure to DevOps practices and Big Data technologies is a plus.
  • Leadership Experience:
  • 4+ years of backend development experience, with at least 1+ year in a technical leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven ability to lead technical teams, influence architectural decisions, and scale high-traffic, highly available systems.
  • AI Exposure: Hands-on experience or familiarity with Artificial Intelligence / AI engineering is required.
