ROLE OVERVIEW
As a Business Analyst, you will be responsible for discovering insights and identifying opportunities through the use of business intelligence, data mining, and visualization techniques. You will need to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and cross-functional teams to solve problems, create operational efficiencies, and deliver successfully against high organizational standards. The candidate should be able to apply a breadth of tools, data sources, and analytical techniques to answer a wide range of high-impact business questions and present the insights in a concise and effective manner. Additionally, the candidate should be an effective communicator capable of independently driving issues to resolution and communicating insights to non-technical audiences.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements.
- Use analytics and data mining techniques to solve complex problems and drive business decisions.
- Formulate ways for businesses to improve, based on research and analytics.
- Solve analytical problems, and effectively communicate methodologies, results, and share actionable insights.
- Create dashboards and reports to identify trends and anomalies.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders such as business/program management teams, engineering teams, and partner teams and align them with respect to your focus area.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of business solutions.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Knowledge in querying and manipulating data via SQL along with Knowledge of Python (Pandas, matplotlib etc).
- Knowledge in using Business Intelligence Tools such as Tableau, Metabase, Redash, etc.
- EKnowledge in working on No Code Platform.
- Knowledge defining requirements and using data and metrics to draw business insight
- Bachelor’s Degree in any quantitative discipline such as Statistics or Engineering.
- Proficiency in verbal & written communication.
- Experience in Stakeholder Management, Problem Solving, and Critical Thinking.
- A proven track record of implementing, and delivering large projects and communicating effectively to the senior level.
PREFERRED SKILLS
- Exposure to geospatial analytics that include visualisations on maps, graphs, statistics and cartograms
- Exposure to scripting languages (Python/ R)
- Exposure to problem solving using statistical techniques and ML algorithms (Linear regression, Logistic regression, Clustering algorithms, forecasting)
- Exposure in building Data Engineering pipelines and handling big data.
- Exposure to tool like Apache, Airflow and Metabase
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to provide valuable insights and recommendations.
